Top-four aim has Paterson & Co fired up

HARRY PATERSON reckons Edinburgh can build on the progress they made last season and aim for a top-four finish in the United Rugby Championship.

That would mean a home draw in the quarterfinals and the fight to get there starts on Saturday, when the capital club take on Zebre at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi in Parma.

The Gunners squeezed into the topeight playoffs last term, winning four and drawing one of their last seven games to finish seventh in the table. But they then had to travel to South Africa to play the Bulls in the last eight, and lost 42-33.
