UNDER-FIRE Gregor Townsend last night received a massive vote of confidence from Scottish Rugby chiefs.

Scotland head coach Townsend, above, has felt the heat from fans since his team lost 33-24 to Argentina after being 21-0 up earlier this month.

But Murrayfield chief executive Alex Williamson said he still had total faith in Townsend, who signed a new two-year contract just a few months ago.
