TOM READY TO PLAY HIS PART

TOM McINTYRE has joined Aberdeen as a free agent after they lost fellow central defender Mats Knoester to injury.

Mcintyre (above), 27, signed a contract until the end of the season after leaving Portsmouth on the final day of the transfer window.

Dutchman Knoester faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a head injury during the Dons’ 3-0 defeat at Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Mcintyre won three Scotland Under-21 caps between 2018 and 2020 but had spent his entire club career down south until yesterday's switch.
