ABERDEEN manager Jimmy Thelin has singled out defensive rock Mats Knoester for praise.

The 26-year-old Dutch centre-half was fast-tracked to the starting line-up following his arrival from Ferencvaros in February.
That coincided with the Dons emerging from their mid-season slump, with the team having lost just once - against champions Celtic - in the 12 games Knoester has played.
Knoester was named man of the match in last weekend's home win over Hibs, in which they recorded a clean sheet.
Thelin said: “Mats is a strong player and smart in his duels.
“But they all cover each other and help each other with second balls and running.
