DONALD Trump's super-aggressive press secretary Karoline Leavitt's latest target is our own BBC.

Well, not the bit that makes EastEnders, used to make Dr Who, and just axed Blue Peter (all areas rich in bulls-eyes).

No, she was weighing in on BBC News, to be exact. This week Leavitt accused the broadcaster of taking statements from terrorist group Hamas as “total truth”.

Of course, that follows persistent complaints here that the BBC is routinely biased against Israel, but for the White House to join the queue to kick one of our national institutions in the head is quite something.

Unfortunately, she did have a case to present.
