Outrage as it is revealed SNP Government ‘failed to close dangerous loophole'
THE Scottish Government has been blasted for failing to close a dangerous loophole that allows registered sex offenders to change their gender without informing police - almost three years after promising to do so.
Police Scotland confirmed it held no searchable records of the number of beasts who have changed gender. Under the SNP's gender reforms, these criminals would have been allowed to legally change gender without the need of a medical certificate by "self-identifying," if they lived that way for a minimum of three months.
They would be able to change their name and look without permission from the authorities.
It is the latest gender scandal to befall the Scottish Government as it is battling For Women Scotland in court by refusing to stop housing men in women's prisons.
It is not ensuring that jails are legally single-sex premises, and are choosing not to lay out their reasons why. During the gender reforms debate, then-Social Justice Secretary Shona Robison vowed to update the law to ensure gender changes are recorded.
