Tounekti thanks Fotheringham for latest run of good form for Hoops

SEBASTIAN TOUNEKTI is confident he can finally hit the goal trail for Celtic with a little help from Mark Fotheringham.

The Tunisian winger settled the nerves with a late stunner in Sunday's Scottish Cup win over Auchinleck Talbot only his third strike for the Hoops.

And the attacker celebrated by making a beeline for popular coach Fotheringham (inset) after reaping the rewards from his extra work at Lennoxtown.

The 23-year-old said: "He is one of the people who have really helped me.

"I've been working extremely hard on the training field to improve my finishing and also my crossing because I feel like I'm a player who can produce some assists and goals.

"I have been working a lot with him lately on the training pitch so hopefully I will get that out in the games also."

After a nightmare 33 days under Wilfried Nancy, Tounekti admits Martin O'Neill and his backroom staff have given the whole place a lift again.
