Scottish criminals no longer safe in UAE, insist police

Dubai-based McGill is blamed for violence here

LAW enforcement have warned underworld figures hiding out in the United Arab Emirates that they are no longer out of the reach of the authorities.

It comes as a Scotland-wide gang war which has engulfed the country in the past months had two more firebombings attributed to it.

The gangster orchestrating the violence is Glasgow-born Ross “Miami” McGill.

He relocated to Dubai some time ago and like many other underworld figures the 31-year-old has believed himself safe from UK justice.

This was down to the established belief that, so long as an individual’s activities are not affecting Dubai or its inhabitants, a blind eye is turned.

However, that situation has changed dramatically with the arrest and extradition of a high-ranking member of the Dublin-based Kinahan cartel.

Several members of the family remain the subject of a $15m bounty offered by the United States Government for their apprehension.
