SCOT GEMMILL hailed his young Scots as they blasted their way to a record win after a DOZEN goals in Dundee.

Manchester City starlet Emilio Lawrence helped himself to four and Hearts' James Wilson grabbed a hattrick in an incredible one-sided romp at Dens Park.

Kyle Ure scored on his debut with Dire Mebude, sub Miller Thomson and Jeremiah Mullen also scoring with the visitors also netting an own goal.

It beat Scotland's previous best ever 7-0 win in San Marino five years ago comfortably and was the perfect tonic after defeats to Czech Republic and Portugal.

Boss Gemmill said: “It was really good to score goals and it was a strong performance. I haven't been involved in a game like that before.
