WHEN the famous gold and green silks worn by Ben Jones came home ahead of the field in the Jack Richards Novices Chase at Cheltenham yesterday, it was a significant moment for trainer Ben Pauling.

Meetmebythesea had given him his first winner of this year's Festival, and in National Hunt racing, there is no owner more important to please than JP McManus.

Producing horses to win for the most powerful figure in the jumps game brings its own type of pressure.

But today, it will be a different type of pressure for Pauling and Jones.

And they will be responsible for the hopes of a different type of owner.
