EMMA RADUCANU'S part-time coach Mark Petchey believes tennis has "changed massively" since she won the 2021 US Open.

The TNT Sports pundit has told her: "You are starting your career now. Start building a normal career from here."

Raducanu, then 18, became the first qualifier to win a major championship at the New York showpiece.

Her career since has been plagued by injuries and coaching changes as she struggled with the challenges of the WTA Tour.

After a chastening defeat by Iga Swiatek in the second round of the French Open this week, she said: "It just shows the distance that I have to improve."
