People's Tribute to D-Day fallen is coming home
Scottish Daily Express
|September 25, 2025
A HAUNTING memorial with 1,475 life-size silhouettes of those who died on D-Day is to be returned to the location from where many set sail 81 years ago.

The artwork by charity Standing with Giants hailing fallen Second World War service personnel will take pride of place at the Royal Armouries' Fort Nelson site, overlooking Portsmouth harbour.
After plans fell through at another site, the world's oldest museum stepped in to host For Your Tomorrow - the People's Tribute at short notice.
