Nurses’ victory a win for reality and sanity

COMMON sense has finally staggered back into the room, slightly bruised but very much alive.

This week, two separate cases involving NHS nurses delivered something that has been sorely missing from our public institutions — a dose of reality.

The Darlington nurses received their long-overdue vindication in a damning 134-page Employment Tribunal judgment. The ruling was clear: the NHS trust violated the dignity of female nurses by allowing a man to use the women’s changing room.

Not “someone who identifies as a woman”, A man. With male anatomy. Undressing alongside female colleagues who were expected to simply swallow their discomfort for the sake of ideological compliance.
