Mike Ward previews tonight's TV
-
THE thought of a cruise never used to appeal to me. These days I think I'd rather fancy one. Being taken to exciting destinations, being wined, dined and entertained along the way, and with others doing all the hard work, most notably the washing-up. Come on, what's not to like?
Ideally, I'd want the ship to pick me up at my doorstep and drop me back there at the end of the voyage. But I don’t believe that option is available right now. Not even if you’ve booked a trip on one of the fancy ships featured in SUPERCRUISING: LIFE AT SEA,
a new documentary series starting tonight on Channel 4 (8pm).
They're missing a trick, the cruise operators, don’t you think?
