Nancy hits back at Ferguson jibe

WILFRIED NANCY has hit back at Evan Ferguson's claim that his Celtic team didn't know what they were doing on Thursday night.

Ferguson tormented the Hoops as he bagged a brace to fire Roma to an easy 3-0 win. And the Irishman stuck the boot in as he claimed several Parkhead stars looked lost.

He said: "We knew they were in the transition with the manager, they changed the formation. At times, they played well and it worked and, Premier Sports Cup final with at others, they didn't.

"Some people didn't know what they were doing." But Nancy defended his approach and insisted his players do know their roles in his new-look 3-4-3 system.

Ahead of tomorrow's St Mirren, the Frenchman said: "He (Ferguson) can say whatever he wants.
