Man released on bail after Christmas Eve park rape

A MAN has been released on bail after an alleged rape in a city park.
The incident is said to have occurred in the early hours of Christmas Eve on Glasgow's southside.
Officers were called to Queen's Park shortly after 1am. Scant details about the investigation have been released.
Police are yet to reveal if the alleged victim was female or male and no description of the suspect been disclosed. Officers remained at the scene yesterday as further inquiries were carried out.
Last night, a Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in Queen's Park area of Glasgow, which is believed to have taken place between 12.30am and 1am on Wednesday, 24 December, 2025.
