LUTZ PFANNENSTIEL wants Aberdeen to turn Pittodrie back into a fortress and a place opposition hate going to.

- BY SCOTT BURNS

The new sporting director will look to make minor adjustments in the January transfer window, with the immediate priority to add more physicality to Jimmy Thelin’s side.

Pfannenstiel reckons the Dons have a talented squad who haven't quite hit the heights but believes they can still do so with some minor adjustments.

“I want Aberdeen to be one of these places that, if you come here, then you should be worried and scared,” said the 52-year-old German.

“Any team who comes here should hate to come to Aberdeen and play football.

“If you can create that momentum where your team is extremely good and extremely aggressive at home then it is one of those places where you hate to be.

“If you can do that then you can achieve a lot of possibilities to pick up points at home’

The former St Louis City sporting director has already done his homework and held in-depth conversations with manager Thelin, inset.
