Camp near Jedburgh houses 'Kingdom of Kubala'

A WOMAN reported missing by her family in Texas has been found in the Scottish Borders, living in a tent with a self-proclaimed “lost African tribe”.

The camp has been set up in woods near Jedburgh by the so-called Kingdom of Kubala, who say they are reclaiming land stolen from their ancestors 400 years ago.

The trio consists of group leader King Atehene, 36, his wife Queen Nandi, 43, and their handmaiden Asnat.

However, it has now emerged that Asnat - also known as Lady Safi is Kaura Taylor, a missing woman from the United States.

In a defiant post shared online, she hit back at speculation over her welfare. She wrote: “I'm very happy with my King and Queen, I was never missing, I fled a very abusive, toxic family who abused me sexually since I was a child! So you don’t go “missing” to your abusers.”
