New Hearts boss McInnes urges club to keep Shanks at all costs
DEREK MCINNES wants Hearts to be "animals" in the hunt for silverware - with Lawrence Shankland providing the bite up front if he can be tied to a new deal.
After being unveiled as manager at Tynecastle yesterday, McInnes admitted his priority was the future of out-of-contract captain Shankland.
The former Kilmarnock and Aberdeen boss is also determined to lock in 42-year-old keeper Craig Gordon - another Scotland star who is about to become a free agent this summer.
