The Jamaica defender came off the bench to head home nine minutes into time added on at Pittodrie.

Jimmy Thelin’s side had fallen behind to Marcus Fraser's opener from the penalty spot before Dante Polvara and Marko Lazetic hit back.

Jonah Ayunga made it 2-2 before Lazetic scored again - and King came up with the goods late on to make it honours even.

Aberdeen remain seventh, while second-bottom St Mirren are now eight games without a win in the league but the manner of their rescue act will have felt like victory.
