JESPER KARLSSON admitted he is only at Aberdeen because he trusts Jimmy Thelin to help get him back to his best.

The Sweden international has quickly established himself as a Pittodrie favourite since arriving on loan from Bologna on deadline night.

Karlsson has already netted three goals and stole the show with his direct running and dribbling as the Dons finally won their first Premiership game of the season before the international break, a 4-0 dismantling of Dundee.

The 27-year-old was previously managed by Thelin at Elfsborg and believes he can get his career going again under his compatriot.
