Co-trainers buoyed by win ahead of Cheltenham clash

OLIVER GREENALL hopes his stable has turned a corner ahead of Jagwar’s return to Cheltenham for the SupportThe Hunt Family Fund December Gold Cup.

The trainer and his co-licensee Josh Guerriero endured a frustrating few months after strangles halted their successful operation in the summer.

Green shoots sprouted with a couple of nearmisses recently, before Passing Pleasure hit the target in a 2m4f hurdle at Musselburgh yesterday.

“We hadn’t had a winner for a little while,” said Greenall, whose joint operation had three winners from 58 runners in November at a strike rate of five per cent.
