A MUM who was stabbed by a knife-wielding intruder who killed her 17-year-old daughter in their home has urged parents to talk to their children if they notice any changes in them.

Rhian Stephens, 38, was said to be lucky to survive after the early-morning attack in which Lainie Williams was killed last week.

Lainie's former boyfriend Cameron Cheng, 18, has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

As mum-of-two Rhian was released from hospital, she said: "Please look after your sons and daughters and look for subtle changes in their moods - sit with a cuppa and check in on them.
