Greens have their say and knock out Maggie

MAGGIE CHAPMAN faces the end of her career as an MSP after being humiliatingly demoted by the Scottish Greens.

She will not top the North East regional list next year after controversies.

Despite insisting she is very popular in her region, she has been listed behind Guy Ingerson. The party is not expected to win more than one list MSP in the area.

Chapman clung on to a place on Holyrood’s Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee despite accusing Supreme Court judges in the defining a woman case of being bigoted.

The Greens have been voting to determine which party figures will top the eight regional lists. The lists have been their only route into Holyrood so far.
