Government sells share of Royal Bank

TAXPAYERS are £10billion out of pocket after the Government sold its final shares in the Royal Bank of Scotland / NatWest.
The bank was saved by a £45bn bailout at the height of the 2008 financial crisis but is now fully privatised.
The Government took an 84% stake in what was then the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The final sale came as the shares this month rose above the bailout price for the first time since 2011.
