Football fans warned over £2.5m ticket scams

MORE than 12,000 football fans were conned into paying £2.5million for football tickets that didn’t exist in the last two seasons.

Victims lost an average of £218 each, said Lloyds Bank, which calculated the figures.
It revealed more than 2,400 cases were reported by its own customers, with the figure ballooning when taking into account other banks.
