ABERDEEN are ready to vie with a host of suitors including Celtic for Kilmarnock midfielder David Watson.
The Dons are long-term admirers of the 20-year-old.
Scotland Under-21 captain Watson's deal expires next summer and he could open pre-contract talks in January.
If Aberdeen agree terms with the player they would then have to thrash out a compensation fee with league rivals Killie or have the figure determined by an independent SPFL tribunal.
