Disabled boy wins battle to save oak tree

A VISUALLY and hearing-impaired boy has won a fight against an insurance company to prevent his favourite tree from getting the chop.
The 200-year-old oak in his garden is a joy for Redd Taylor Cantrill.
The 11-year-old likes to play under the tree and it helps his epilepsy as the shade means he is less likely to have a fit in the heat.
But insurers want to remove it after the family claimed for subsidence.
