Garza recalls 'fun' day of selfies, hugs and drunks

MEXICAN midfielder Cesar Garza was just four games into his Dundee career when he experienced the bedlam of derby day in the city - and it has whetted his appetite for another one this weekend.

The 19-year-old started the Scottish Cup meeting between the rivals on January 20, when Simon Murray's goal in the first minute knocked out Dundee United at Dens Park.

Dundee's cup run was halted by Hearts last week, and they desperately need the points at Tannadice on Sunday to pull away from the relegation zone. Dee are just three points ahead of bottom side St Johnstone.

Garza said: "It's a derby, a big game. That last one was amazing.

"Seeing how much it meant to the fans beating United, I think that's where I got to know how much they dislike each other.

"I saw a lot of drunk fans and got hugs with lots of people asking for photos. It was fun.
