Cop-assault man, 31, held after fleeing up the Clyde

A POLICE officer has been injured after an alleged assault that resulted in a dramatic police chase on the River Clyde.
Police Scotland's marine, air, canine and armed units were scrambled to the incident in Greenock in the early hours of yesterday.
Cops raced to East India Harbour after receiving reports of concern for a person at 2.05am.
Following a disturbance, in which a police officer was allegedly assaulted, a man made off in a dinghy.
It is understood that the boat was chased along the River Clyde before arriving at Rhu Marina in Helensburgh.
