Brand denies rape and sexual assault

FORMER comic Russell Brand has denied raping one woman and sexually assaulting another after arriving at court sporting an almost bare chest.

Star clutched Bible but it was confiscated

The onetime BBC and Channel 4 star, who now broadcasts anti-woke videos online, was also gripping a Bible at London's Southwark crown court where he answered the two further sexual offence charges.

After taking his place in the dock, Brand began reading from his holy book, but a court officer temporarily confiscated it, despite the actor, 50, trying to show her pages.

Brand spoke to confirm his name and enter his two "not guilty" pleas.
