FRUSTRATED Kilmarnock captain Brad Lyons admits his squad were rubbing their hands at halftime against Rangers at Ibrox - but shaking their fists when the final whistle blew.

Going down the tunnel at the break, Lyons thought his team were perfectly placed to heap more pressure on the Light Blues in the second half.

But having made a mess of defending James Tavernier's free-kick for Derek Cornelius' early opener, Killie's backline shot themselves in the foot twice more as they allowed Danilo and Youssef Chermiti to fire Danny Rohl to his first win as Rangers head coach.

Lyons, above, groaned: "I'm just frustrated and angry.

"When you come to Ibrox, you need to be defensively solid to get a result.
