Hitman up to speed as 100th Hibs goal now in view

MARTIN BOYLE says hitting the landmark of 100 Hibs goals by the end of this term seemed unlikely just a few months ago.

But then so did third place in the Premiership for David Gray's side as they sat last in the table with just one win from the first 14 league games at the end of November.

Gray was under pressure and talismanic frontman Boyle was in the firing line too as he struggled with a wrist injury, netting just two goals by then.

But whatever put a rocket under the Leith side, it's propelled not just speedster Boyle, but also Hibs right up the table on the back of a 16-game unbeaten run.

Saturday's brilliant 2-0 win at Ibrox - Hibs' first there since February 2018 kept their noses ahead of Aberdeen.
