BoE set to save Reeves's skin with rate cut

Chancellor Rachel Reeves may finally get some good news tomorrow. She doesn't deserve it. Reeves has killed growth and sunk the economy. Two dire tax-and-spend Budgets in a row have wreaked havoc. Day after day, the news just gets worse.

We recently learned that the economy shrunk by 0.1% in October, putting us on course for a recession. On Tuesday, news broke that unemployment had climbed to 5.1%. That's the highest in 10 years, except briefly during the pandemic.

That's just two pieces of news, but there are dozens more and all tell the same story: Labour has been an economic disaster.

Labour inherited a stricken economy that was showing signs of recovery and quickly crushed the life out of it with constant threats of tax hikes, killing sentiment.
