IT'S Dress Like A Clown Week on THE GREAT BRITISH SEWING BEE, kicking off yet another series (BBC1, 9pm).

Or at least you'd assume that’s the theme, given the bizarre creation that host Sara Pascoe is wearing to greet the new contestants.

Alongside her is resident judge Esme Young, sporting something equally odd.

(And I say all this, of course, as the voice of fashion).

So what about the programme’s co-judge Patrick Grant?

I'd imagine Patrick got the memo as well but simply ignored it.

Hence he’s arrived in just a smart navy suit. By that, I mean it’s a suit in navy blue, of course, not that he’s dressed in a sailor's outfit, although who’s to say he won't be doing that before long?

And before you tell me it’s rude to mock people’s dress sense, may I just say one thing?
