Crown withdraws day before trial date
PROSECUTORS have decided to drop a case against a resident of a hotel housing asylum seekers who was accused of flashing, making obscene gestures and performing sex acts out of one of the hotel windows.
Said Ageed, 23, had been due to face trial at Falkirk Sheriff Court today.
It was revealed yesterday that the trial would not go ahead - and Said’s name had been removed from the day's list of business.
This is known as “not calling” the case.
A Crown Office spokesman said this decision followed “full and careful consideration of the facts and circumstances”.
