ARYNA SABALENKA ended Iga Swiatek's reign at the French Open to reach her first final in Paris.
The world No.1 played a perfect last set to hand the four-time champion her first defeat at Roland Garros since 2021.
Sabalenka said: “It feels incredible but I also understand the job is not done yet.”
She snapped Swiatek’s 26-match winning streak here with a 7-6 4-6 6-0 victory.
Sabalenka now faces No.2 seed Coco Gauff as both chase their first French Open crown.
Ahead of tomorrow’s final, the Belarusian said: “I have to go out there and fight.
“I have to bring my best tennis. I have to work for that title. I’m ready to do everything it’s going to take to win.”
Sabalenka, 27, dropped just six points in the last set and was surprised by her dominance.
