Anti-abortion campaigner convicted of buffer breach

AN anti-abortion campaigner at the centre of a free speech controversy involving the US government was yesterday found guilty of breaching a buffer zone outside a clinic.

Livia Tossici-Bolt was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20,000 costs at Poole Magistrates' Court. She was found to have broken a Public Spaces Protection Order on two days in March 2023. The 64-year-old, from Bournemouth, held a sign outside the abortion clinic in the town saying: "Here to talk, if you want."
