ALL-IN FINDLAY'S AN EXAMPLE TO WANTAWAY ACES

AT 18, Findlay Curtis is barely out of the schoolboy category.

- By Andy Newport

But Russell Martin reckons some of Rangers’ want-away stars could learn a lesson from the teenager.

With his team staring at a humiliating defeat in Paisley, it was left to midfielder Curtis to bail the Light Blues out of deep trouble yesterday.

The boy from Balfron — a village between Stirling and Glasgow — pounced with 12 minutes of normal time remaining to snatch a draw against Stephen Robinson’s brave Buddies, who led through Jonah Ayunga’s opener.

Curtis’s third goal of the season, however, still wasn’t enough to clinch a first Gers Premiership win of the season.

Perhaps a team that trails Celtic by six points after just three games might not be in so much bother so early had more players been willing to show the same commitment as their young teammate.

Martin certainly couldn’t be any happier with the academy graduate, even if he remains bitterly disappointed with the way his new-look lineup has kicked off the campaign.
