What would the Honorable Dr. C. DeLores Tucker, former Secretary of State of Pennsylvania, and the Honorable Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm say if they were alive today and saw the state of Black women in America?
-
Some think it would be an interesting conversation to hear from these two dynamic and influential leaders who came together to form the National Congress of Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) more than 40 years ago. The late Dr. Tucker was the Convening Founder, and the late Congresswoman Chisholm was the first National Chair, and for many years they stood side by side to host an annual awards brunch always held on the closing day of Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Legislative Weekend.
While both leaders transitioned many years ago, the Organization still stands strong today, and as is tradition the annual awards brunch will take place again this year.
