'It's the bond market, stupid' - Just ask Moody's

Back in the early 1990s when I was running as a Republican candidate for Congress, a governor from Arkansas, Bill Clinton, once said during a three-way race for president the following, “It’s the economy, stupid.” Well, today, I would change that slightly to: “It’s the bond market, stupid.” (It must be noted that President Clinton was the last president to balance our budget.)

Why is the bond market so important? Well, because America cannot pay its annual bills. We have a nearly $2 trillion annual budget deficit. We must borrow money, which is done via the bond market, not the stock market (but the bond market eventually affects the stock market).
The solution is staring us in the face, however.
As the grace of God would have it, good people who follow God's love of others see trouble lurking--they see the entire forest, while bad people follow the other “guy” and fail to see the forest for the trees. Sad, but true.
Even if this is not normal for you, we all must pray for America and its leaders.
It is the increase in our annual deficit that most concern me with President Donald Trump's so-called Big Beautiful Bill. I am also worried about the bill promising more than it can deliver and the insinuation that people do not want to work. This is the reason to take away their benefits due to their economic condition - lending credence to the stereotype that the GOP is willing to take from the poor to give to the rich. Trump is correct to leave the door open for tax increases for the super wealthy (you define it).
The immediate and long-term solution comes via the creation of jobs from every sector - public and private stimulated possibly by the federal government, much like 9/11 stimulated the government to create millions of jobs fighting the bad guys.

Is another era of political violence upon us?
In his life's work, Charlie Kirk, the rising star in conservative politics, did not give me, or millions of Americans like me in the political center or left, a great deal of optimism about the direction of our nation's partisan politics.
