Hamas 'ready to release hostages' for end to war

HAMAS wants a comprehensive deal to end the war in Gaza and swap all remaining hostages in return for Israeli military group of electing senior officials from an interim truck.

Khalil al-Hayya, the group's Gaza chief, said its negotiating team told the group it would no longer agree to interim deals, adopting a position that Israel will unlikely to accept and potentially hinder talks aimed at halting attacks that have resulted in recent weeks.

In remarks, Hayya said Hamas was ready to engage in "comprehensive package negotiations" to release all remaining hostages in custody in return for an end to the war, the release of Palestinians jailed by Israel, and the reconstruction of Gaza.
