The club, which needs to make £4.7m worth of cuts by next June, are in talks with several players, including Seb Drozd, Charlie Fox and Timam Scott.

Louis Longridge has signed up for a sixth season at the Spiders, and Grant Savoury is also on board for next season.

Leaving are: Zach Balfour, Lennon Connolly, Reece Evans, Alex Fairlie, Archie Graham, Rocco Hickey-Fugaccia, Josh Hinds, Cammy Kerr, Lucas McCormick, Liam McVey, Lewis Reid, Josh Scott, Joseph Smith, Jack Thompson, Max Thompson, Jack Turner, Will Tizzard and Sean Welsh.

Returning to parent clubs are: Adam Devine, Ryan Duncan, Kyle Hurst, Ben Jackson, Leon King, Adam Montgomery and Jadan Raymond.

The club said in a statement: "Talks have been ongoing with a number of the first-team squad over potential contract extensions, while others are moving on or at the end of their deals.

"Updates on further discussions, and any transfer activity affecting players contracted to the club beyond 2024-25 will be announced at a time appropriate to each agreement."
