Mum says nearby pets have also recently died
A MUM-OF-FOUR has been left heartbroken after her family’s cherished cat, Sky, was believed to have been poisoned.
Leanne Roberts, from Bacup, found the three-year-old feline looking unwell in her front yard last Wednesday ‘and immediately took her to the vets.
Despite the veterinary team’s efforts, Sky had to be euthanised due to poisoning.
Speaking about her traumatic ordeal, the 42-year-old said: “When I went out for the school run at 3pm, she was just laying near the wheelie bins in my driveway. I thought, that’s not like her, so I shouted at her.
“She tried to get up, but then she just flopped back down to the floor.
“I got my son to bring her back into the house and I went to the school run.
