Characters of regulars captured for the wall

A STUNNING series of 36 black and white portraits of members of award-winning Whitworth Vale and Healey Band Club have been unveiled.

The portraiture wall - at the club on Market Street, Whitworth - was installed on World Photography Day, August 19, by local photographer Jeff Johnson.

He began capturing the likeness of regulars in April.

Jeff said: "This came about because I have a bad leg so I have been unable to get out walking and taking photographs, as I would normally do.

"I like taking pictures and thought it might be fun to take portraits of the regulars who come into the club as they are the ones who keep the place turning over."
