Theatre group hit as musical instruments stolen in break-in

MUSICAL instruments have been stolen from a community theatre group ahead of their upcoming performance.

Members of Whitworth AMDS discovered on Saturday morning their base St John’s Hall, Whitworth had been broken into and saw shards of glass scattered across the floor from a smashed window.
Two bass guitars worth £1,000 in total and one guitar as well as a number of power tools worth hundreds of pounds were stolen just two weeks before their next production.
Vice Chair of the society committee, Lauren Bates, said: “It’s just not nice.
