IN the JW Lees Senior Division 2, Enfield’s 29-run victory over leaders Greenmount.

- NEIL WILKINSON & RICHARD PARTINGTON

Church & Oswaldtwistle in the second versus third clash of the weekend meant they were able to keep up the pressure on leaders Greenmount.

Church won the toss and opted to field first, Enfield going on to make 263-7 from 48 overs, largely thanks to a superb century from Adam Bracewell.

He hit 122 from 92 deliveries, including ten maximums and seven fours.

Church got off to a decent start in their reply with Craig Fergusson, 25, and Sam Holt, 35, putting on 74 for the first wicket. They ten lost a few cheap wickets before skipper Kelan Florentine, 51, and Ben Parkinson, 61, combined to take them from 5-109 to 6-215. However, both were dismissed within a few overs of each other and the Church tail was unable to wag, the visitors all out for 234 in the 46th over. Enfield earned ten points for the win with Church taking three.

Top-of-the-table Greenmount extended their lead with a 12-point return from their six-wicket win against Colne at home.

Colne had won the toss and batted first, making 167 all out, Callum Hunter claiming 4-38 and Jacques Snyman 3-32 for the hosts.

Snyman then struck an unbeaten 94 to guide Greenmount home in the 29th over.

Rishton moved above Church in the rankings with a four-wicket win at Rawtenstall's Worswick Memorial Ground.

Rawtenstall won the toss and elected to take first knock, making 278-3 from 48 overs.
