IN the JW Lees Premier League, Littleborough made it two wins on the bounce as they hammered a hapless looking Rochdale side at a blustery and damp Redbrook on Sunday.

Boro cruise to derby victory at Redbrook

It was one of only two matches to finish in the league on the day as they dodged the showers, but Rochdale only had themselves to blame after an array of appalling shot selections saw them castled with a whopping 13 overs left which gave the visitors ample time to knock off the reduced score.

Littleborough’s return of 12 points to Rochdale’s one was is a fair reflection of the day’s play.

Boro captain Ryan Miskella won the toss and inserted the home side but after three very ordinary overs to say the least, Rochdale raced to 28 as the visitors gift wrapped the home side a dream start. But that was as good as it got for Rochdale.

Skipper Miskella replaced the wayward Ben Williamson and immediately dismissed Tom Gilbertson who chipped a dolly to Lewis Willman, 31-1.

Willman got Andy Harrison snicked off straight after 31-2.

After 10 overs the score was 42-2 as Littleborough attempted to stem the tide.
