Amber and Landin qualify for Horse of the Year Show

AN amateur rider from Rochdale, Amber Flynn, and her horse, Landin have qualified for the prestigious Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) in Birmingham this October.

Amber and Landin, who is owned by Jennifer Whittaker, made the trip to Hartpury University near Gloucester for the SEIB Search for a Star qualifier on April 13.

They will now go on to compete under the bright lights of the HOYS Arena at the NEC in Birmingham in early October.

The pair won the Riding Horse Hack class under top judges Samantha DeCaprio and Richard Ramsay to earn their HOYS qualification.

Landin is a former dressage horse and has been ridden by Amber for the last six years. Amber explained: "This is so exciting, I've worked as a dressage yard manager for Jennifer and have been lucky to ride Landin and take him to shows.
