Theme park open to get Christmas party fun started
Retford Times
|November 20, 2025
ONE of Nottinghamshire’s most popular family attractions has opened its doors for festive fun.
-
Sundown Adventureland will be full of the Christmas spirit as it welcomes back visitors after reopening on November 15.
The theme park, in Rampton closed earlier this month to prepare for its magical Yuletide spectacular, now in its 16th year.
Visitors will find a winter wonderland complete with picturesque snowy scenes, piles of presents, elaborate Christmas trees with colourful baubles, nutcrackers and plenty of twinkling lights.
One of the highlights at the theme park for children under ten is the Night Before Christmas ride, which takes families on a journey through an enchanted forest before arriving at Santa's cosy woodland grotto, where they sit by the fireplace to reveal all their hearts’ desires and receive a present from the big man himself.
After little ones have divulged their present list to Santa, all of Sundown Adventureland’s rides, attractions, and play areas will be open to explore.
